The Thunder Bay Border Cats recorded their second walk-off win in a week as they pushed across a run in the bottom of the ninth to knock off the first place La Crosse Loggers 3-2 at Port Arthur Stadium.  The Cats swept the two-game series to improve their record to 5-7, while the Loggers fell to 7-4.
With the game knotted at 2-2, Ayden Hadley (Sacramento State University) singled up the middle leading off the last of the ninth. Pinch runner Jacob Poletto (Bossier Parish CC) then stole second base.  Following a fly out, pinch hitter Lincoln Pack (Pensacola State CC) lined a ball into the left field corner for a double to drive home Poletto and the celebration was on.
After trailing 2-0, the Cats tied the game with a two-out rally in the sixth inning on run scoring hits by Alex Kean (Morehead State University) and Manny Alberto (Western Kentucky University).  Kean and Dylan Snead (Ottawa University) both had two hits for Thunder Bay.
After the Loggers took a 2-0 lead with a pair of runs in the second inning, Alex Unga (Creighton University) came out of the bullpen and kept La Crosse in check, as the big righthander pitched four shutout innings, allowing just two hits, and striking out seven. Kody Butt (Bellevue University) picked up the win as the lefthander from St. John’s, Newfoundland, tossed three scoreless innings and fanned five La Crosse batters. Unga and Butt combined for seven shutout innings, giving up only four hits, one walk, while striking out 12.
The Cats continue their homestand Saturday when they welcome the Rochester Honkers for the opener of a two-game set at 6:35pm.  Lefthander Luke Bryant (Ohio University) gets the start on the mound for the Cats.
