After being rained out on Saturday, the Border Cats split a doubleheader Sunday in Alexandria at Knute Nelson Memorial Park.  The Cats won their road debut beating the Blue Anchors in the opener 4-3.  Charles Thielmann (Kean University) had a solid start for Thunder Bay to earn his first win of the season.  The righthander pitched six innings and allowed three runs on five hits. Thielmann walked none and struck out four.  Kevin Woebke (Concordia University-St. Paul) earned the save by striking out a pair in his one inning of work.  Tyler Rolland (Southern Illinois University) led the Cats at the plate, going 2-3 with an RBI.  In the second game, the Blue Anchors scored multiple runs in the first three innings and cruised to a 7-4 victory.  Gunnar Kay (Dallas Baptist University) started for the Cats and took the loss, giving up two runs in the 1st inning.  Sal Taormina (Kean University) hit the Cats first home run of the season, a two-run shot in the 3rd inning. Rolland had two more hits in the second game, raising his batting average to .438.
