Following a two-game sweep in St. Cloud, the tables were turned on the Border Cats on Monday night, as they fell 10-2 to the Rox before 705 fans at Port Arthur Stadium.  St. Cloud exploded for seven runs in the first inning and cruised to the win as Thunder Bay’s record slipped to 6-7.  Sam Peterson (Texas State University) had a tough debut for the Cats as he allowed six runs on two hits and four walks.  Cole Ketzner (South Alabama) went 1-for-2 as he drove in the Cats first run with a first inning single for his eighth run batted in of the season.
The Cats and Rox wrap up their two-game series with a special morning game on Tuesday starting at 11:05am.  It’s the first of two School Day games this month, but it’s open to all fans.  Thunder Bay’s Jack Pineau is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Cats.
