

Following a four-game winning streak at home, the Thunder Bay Border Cats hit the road on Tuesday, and fell 7-4 to the Wausau Woodchucks in Wisconsin. The Cats are now 7-8 on the season, but only trail the La Crosse Loggers by 1 ½ games atop the Great Plains East Division.
After falling behind 3-0, Thunder Bay tied the game 3-3 thanks to a three-run fourth inning, highlighted by a two-run double by Jesus Vasquez (University of Hawaii), and a run scoring single by Manny Alberto (Western Kentucky University). The Woodchucks (10-4), broke the game open with a trio of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning with reliever Judd Hildreth (Murray State University) taking the loss. Lincoln Pack (Pensacola State CC) led the Cats offensively, going 3-for-4, with a double and a run batted in.
The Cats wrap up their two-game set with the Woodchucks on Wednesday at 7:35pm ET. Carson Small (University of New Orleans) will make his third start of the season for Thunder Bay. The lefthander is 2-0 with a superb 1.20 ERA. The Cats return to Port Arthur Stadium Thursday for the opener of a two-game series against the St. Cloud Rox at 6:35pm.
