Manny Alberto (Western Kentucky University) had an impressive day at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and a run batted in, but the Thunder Bay Border Cats fell 7-4 to the Eau Claire Express Sunday afternoon in Wisconsin.  The shortstop from Aurora, Ont., raised his batting average to .315 and his RBI total to 11.
Hayden Crites (Jacksonville State University) connected for his first home run of the season as the Cats slipped to 9-11 with their second straight loss to the Express.  Ayden Hadley (Sacramento State University had two hits and two runs batted in, while Alex Kean (Morehead State University) also added a pair of singles.
Returning pitcher Braden Gluth (North Dakota State University) made his first start of the season and left after five innings with the score tied 2-2.  The righthander allowed two runs on four hits, with four walks, and five strikeouts.  Judd Hildreth (Murray State University) took the loss in relief as the Express scored three times in the seventh inning to even their record at 10-10.
The Cats continue their four-game road trip on Monday when they travel to Duluth to take on the Huskies. Lefthander Vincent Segovia (University of Arkansas-Monticello) is the scheduled starter for Thunder Bay with first pitch at Wade Stadium set for 7:35pm ET.
