The Thunder Bay Border Cats continued their winning ways on the road Thursday as they swept a doubleheader in St. Cloud beating the Rox 8-5 and 9-7.  The Cats have now won four straight games to improve their second half record to 5-9.

In the opener, Nate Negre (University of Central Arkansas) collected three hits, including a pair of doubles, and also scored a run, while Stevie Waters (University of British Columbia) belted a solo home run, his second of the season.  Waters had two hits, two runs batted, and scored twice, while Colin Fisher (University of Incarnate Word) also had a pair of hits, including a double.

Collin Berry (Georgia Gwinnett College) picked up the win in relief as he allowed just one run over four innings with four strikeouts.  Chase Randall (University of Incarnate Word) got the final six outs, striking out three, for his second save.

In the nightcap, the Cats trailed 4-1 before newcomer Jimmy Pelletier (Colorado State University-Pueblo) connected for a grand slam home run as part of a five-run seventh inning rally.  The native of Laval, QC., had three hits and drove in five runs on the night. Stevie Waters (University of British Columbia) went 3-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs.

Braden Gluth (North Dakota State University) made his second appearance of the day to get the win in relief and even his record at 1-1. Gage Luttrell (Southwestern Illinois CC) recorded the final seven outs to notch his first save.

The Cats continue their eight-game road trip Friday with another doubleheader in La Crosse against the Loggers beginning at 6:05pm ET.
