THUNDER BAY BORDER CATS HIRE NEW HITTING COACH FOR 2018 SEASON
Thunder Bay, ON – The Thunder Bay Border Cats are pleased to announce the signing of their new hitting coach for the 2018 summer. William Loza, from Graceland University, has been chosen to work with bench boss Mitch Feller and hitters for the Cats 16th year in the Northwoods League.
Loza says of his hiring, “I am excited about the opportunity to join the staff alongside Mitch and Matt. I have heard nothing but great things from Matt about Mitch’s coaching style and I think it’s going to be a great summer learning from both of them. Loza continued, “I am also excited to help with the facilitation of the player development this summer in Thunder Bay. “
Head coach Mitchell Feller said, “I am pleased to have Will aboard for this season. He brings a wealth of knowledge for developing hitters, both at the collegiate and summer ball levels. He will be able to help our hitters develop their game throughout there time in Thunder Bay and help continue to push the organization towards a championship this summer. “
Dan Grant, Border Cats general manager, added, “We are happy to have Will join the Cats, as he comes highly recommended and I know he will have a positive impact on the players and organization.”
