BORDER CATS NAME DIPAOLO TEAM CEO
Thunder Bay, ON. – The Thunder Bay Border Cats are pleased to announce that Tony DiPaolo has been named the team’s Chief Executive Officer.
The Thunder Bay native will be in charge of the day-to-day operations of the team including corporate sales, ticket sales and special events. DiPaolo has been involved in the entertainment industry in the city for several years and his business experience and organizational skills will be a key component in operating the Border Cats baseball club and its parent company Grand Slam Sports & Entertainment.
“I am thrilled to be involved with the Border Cats organization and look forward to the challenge of creating a great atmosphere at Port Arthur Stadium for our fans and corporate partners,” stated DiPaolo. “The citizens of Thunder Bay and the surrounding area cherish their summers and we want to make Border Cats baseball an exciting and affordable night of entertainment for our 36 home games each season,” DiPaolo added.
“With Tony now in place as our CEO handling the business side of the operation and field manager Eric Vasquez in charge of player personnel on the baseball end, the Border Cats have two veteran leaders in these key positions,” stated team president David Valente. “Our loyal fans deserve the best game experience possible and we plan on delivering that with Tony and Eric leading the way,” added Valente.

The Border Cats home opener is Tuesday, May 28, at 7:05 pm against the Duluth Huskies.
