The Pit Spitters Community Foundation holds 50/50 raffles as a primary fundraising effort for our foundation as well as supports non-profits in the local Traverse City Community. The percentage of funds raised are divided among the parties involved. Forty percent of the funds raised go to the winner of the 50/50 drawing, 50% goes to support the participating 501c(3) and 10% is used to cover administrative fees and operating costs. The Pit Spitters Community Foundation allows a select number of non-profit organizations the opportunity to host a 50/50 raffle on a selected game date.
Rules and Regulations
- Participants must be 18 years or older to purchase a 50/50 ticket. Unauthorized persons copying, selling or altering tickets are subject to prosecution.
- The winner will be drawn in the 8th inning, unless there is inclement weather. If inclement weather occurs, the winner will be drawn based on Pit Spitters Community Foundation’s discretion.
- 40% of all proceeds raised in one game are awarded to one person. Winner does not need to be present at drawing to win.
- All winners will be chosen at random. All participants can view the winning ticket number online the following day. The winning ticket is valid up to 60 days after drawing.
- Applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
- The designated 50/50 ticket is the only valid receipt for claiming a prize. The Pit Spitters Community Foundation is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets.
