Thank you for your interest in the Traverse City Pit Spitters Reading Club! We look forward to working with you to get students excited about reading.

The Reading Club is an incentive-based program for children between the grade levels of kindergarten and eighth grade. The Traverse City Pit Spitters provide all support materials to schools at no cost to promote reading through the month of March. Students who complete the reading objective of 15 minutes per day during March is Reading Month will receive the opportunity to attend a Traverse City Pit Spitters home game for FREE!

The first 250 kids, 12 and under eat for free, pregame catch on the field, pregame autographs, and postgame kids run the bases!

Salute to Service Night presented by Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel

Half-price box seats for all veterans, first responders, health care workers, teachers, and snowplow drivers!

Additional benefits when attending as a school:
– Preferred seating – The Pit Spitters work to make sure the entire group sits together!
– Your school name is announced over the PA system during the game you attend!
– Opportunity for a special person from your school to throw a ceremonial first pitch before your game – think principal, administrator, rockstar teacher, or your school’s most accomplished reader!
– Participate in a between-inning promotion on the field
