Open Two Game Series Against The Loggers
Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. – The Rafters will hit the road for the next two games as they head west to La Crosse, Wis., where they will play the La Crosse Loggers in back-to-back days at Copeland Park. The first pitch for both games is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
The Rafters won their home opener yesterday and look to build on that success as they begin this short three game road trip. That win was not only the first Opening Day win in Rafters franchise history, but it was also the first Northwoods League win for new field manager Craig Noto. Brian Russell (College of Staten Island) gets the nod on the bump for the Rafters this evening, while the reigning Northwoods League Hitter of the night Kyle Devin (Rhode Island) looks to stay hot at the dish for Wisconsin Rapids.
After the La Crosse series, the Rafters will head to Madison for a weekend home and home series with the Madison Mallards.
