La Crosse Wis- Offense was the story in La Crosse on this Friday evening, where the Rafters used an eight-run inning to propel themselves past the Loggers 14-7 on this rainy evening. Every Rafter in the starting lineup scored in the run-fest.

Jake Johansmier ( Eastern Illinois) came out of the bullpen for the Rafters injured starter Luke Sommerfeld (St. Louis) and threw an absolute gem for the Rafters. He picked up the win going 6 2/3 innings and only allowing one run in relief. The offense was firing on all cylinders, especially in the aforementioned eight run 5th inning. Jake Sandlin’s (Georgia College) three-run home-run and Zack Domingues’s (Long Beach State) two-run double paced the Rafters in the big inning.

The Rafters will head to Madison for a two game, home and home series with the Mallards. The games are scheduled for 6:05 PM Saturday at Warner Park and 5:05 Sunday at Witter Field.
