Up to four FREE tickets per household offered for August 6th game

 

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. – The Water Works and Lighting Commission will celebrate 100 years of municipal ownership in Wisconsin Rapids this year.  To help commemorate this occasion the Water Works and Lighting Commission, in conjunction with the Rafters, have announced details surrounding a special community celebration to be held at Witter Field on Thursday, August 6th when the Rafters take on the Thunder Bay Border Cats at 7:05PM.

“This night of fun at Witter Field is meant as a way to thank our customers for 100 years of municipal ownership,” said Water Works & Lighting Commission General Manager Jem Brown.

As part of the celebration, the Water Works and Lighting Commission will be offering up to four FREE tickets to a pre-game picnic celebration and game tickets to each household that they service.  The pre-game picnic will begin at 5:00PM on August 6th and will include:

  • FREE Food: Picnic to include a pig roast, hot dogs, burgers, veggie burgers, plus all of the fixings, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, potato chips, chocolate chip cookies, and canned soda and fountain water.
  • Fun Activities: Bounce house, dunk tank, face painting, Rafters mascot Rosco P. Rafter, in-game entertainment by The ZOOPerstars! and more.

To pick up FREE tickets for the August 6th event, customers can bring their June 2015 Water Works and Lighting Commission bill to the Rafters ticket office beginning July 6th, 2015.  Then, with one unexpired canned food item per ticket, fans will receive up to four tickets to the pre-game festivities and game on August 6th.  All food items will be donated to the South Wood County Emergency Pantry Shelf in Wisconsin Rapids.

A limited number of tickets are available, so reserve your seat beginning Monday, July 6th by stopping down to the Rafters ticket office at Witter Field.  Ticket office hours are Monday through Friday from 9AM-5PM and all game days from 9AM until the end of the 7th inning.
