Wisconsin Rapids start series with 1st Place Kingfish
Kalamazoo, Mich- Wisconsin Rapids heads to Kenosha fresh off of a split with the Madison Mallards. The Rafters fell in yesterday’s ball game, after winning on Tuesday’s game 8-5. The loss brought their record to 7-6 in the 2nd half. As the standings sit today, the Rafters are in 5th place in the 2nd half standings. The Kingfish, who were just swept by the Woodchucks, have a record of 10-5 and sit atop the South division standings.
Adam Hall (Xavier) will be the starter tonight for the Rafters. The right hander is 2-3 with a 3.37 ERA in 2015. Hall faced Kenosha back on July 2nd, he went 6.1 innings and received the no decision in the game. Ryne Blanton (Madison College) will be the starter tonight for the Kingfish. He’s 2-0 with a 4.10 ERA on the season. Blanton was also the starter back on July 2nd, he allowed one run in five innings as he got the no decision in the Kenosha’s 3-2 win.
