Wisconsin Rapids looks to bounce back against Border Cats

                    

Thunder Bay, ON- Last night, the Rafters were unable to come back from a five run deficit against the North Division Border Cats. Wisconsin Rapids rallied late, having the tying run on 2nd in the 9th inning, when the final out was recorded. Thunder Bay comes into tonight’s game 6-14 in the 2nd half, while the Rafters come in with a record of 8-10.  

 

The Rafters will have Jon Malmin (Texas) on the mound for the final game of this series. The Troy, Teas native was a 2014 All-Star for the Rafters, and has been a good arm in the 2015 rotation. Speaking of All-Stars, Brock Carpenter (Seattle) had a double and a run scored for the visitors in last nights game. Ryan Cleveland (Georgia Southern) had an RBI single in the loss, while Zack Domingues (Long Beach State) and Beau Jordan (LSU) each had RBI’s in the 9th to cut the deficit to two runs before Brock Carpenter struck out to end the game. Thunder Bay has not decided on a starter for this evening’s ball game.
