Rafters Start Road Trip in Green Bay

Wisconsin Rapids seeks 3rd win against Bullfrogs

                    

Green Bay, Wis.- The Rafters look to get back on the winning track when they head to Joannes Stadium for a matchup with the Bullfrogs. Wisconsin Rapids is 2-1 against the 2nd place Bullfrogs this summer, winning their last matchup 14-4 in a game played at Witter Field on the 4th of July. Wisconsin Rapids is 9-12 in the 2nd half while Green Bay is 12-11.

 

All-Star Jack Riley (UConn) will be on the mound today for the Rafters. The lefty will also be participating in the “Major League Dreams” showcase on August 4th in Madison. On the summer, Riley is 4-1 with a 1.89 ERA. He started the game the last time the Rafters faced off against Green Bay and went six innings, allowed three earned runs while striking out three Bullfrogs batters. In addition to Riley, Zack Domingues (Long Beach State) and 2015 All-Star Brock Carpenter (Seattle) will also be competing in the showcase. Austin Hancock (Lenior-Rhyne) will be on the bump tonight for the home team. He has made one other appearance this summer, throwing a scoreless inning against Lakeshore.

 

The Rafters return to Green Bay tomorrow to take on the Bullfrogs, before heading to Eau Claire Wednesday for a day-night doubleheader.
