Evanko Returning To Wisconsin Rapids
Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. – Continuing the trend of re-signing players back from their 2015 team, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters have announced that left-handed pitcher Ethan Evanko (Grand Canyon University) will return for the 2016 season. Joining Evanko will be his teammate and fellow left-hander Jake Repavich (Grand Canyon University).
“We’re extremely excited to have Ethan back for a full season,” said Rafters general manager John Fanta. “Adding Jake Repavich along with Evanko will provide Craig with two outstanding options from the left side in 2016.”

Evanko joined the Rafters well into their 2015 season and saw success working out of the bullpen for the team. In eight appearances, he tallied eight strikeouts in 12 innings pitched and finished with a 2.25 ERA. Evanko battled the injury bug in the spring of 2015 after a tremendous freshman season a year prior, in which he went 6-1 with a 3.42 ERA and struck out 41 in 73.2 innings pitched. He will look to continue his prowess on the mound this spring for the Antelopes. He is a native of Gilbert, Arizona.
