Rafters to host Game 1 Thursday, August 18th at Witter Field

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are headed to their first ever Summer Collegiate World Series after clinching the South Division Championship on Tuesday night. By capturing the South Division title, the Rafters will host the first game of the Summer Collegiate World Series on Thursday, August 18th at Witter Field against the North Division Champion Eau Claire Express. Gates will open at 6:05 and the first pitch is slated for 7:05.

The Rafters will travel to Eau Claire on Friday, August 19th to take on the Express at Carson Park. Game time is set for 6:35.  The Rafters will offer a fan bus that will depart from Witter Field at 3pm on Friday afternoon and transport Rafters fans to Eau Claire. The bus trip is $25 per person and includes a General Admission ticket to Friday’s game. Fans must sign up for the bus trip by 9pm on Thursday night and can pay at the Witter Field ticket office or by calling the Rafters office at 715-424-5400.

Should the World Series need to be decided by a third game, the Rafters would host the Eau Claire Express on Saturday, August 20th at Witter Field. Game time for Saturday would again be 7:05 with gates opening at 6:05.
