Two actors set to appear at Witter Field as part of 25th Year Anniversary Tour

If your name is Wendy Peffercorn, you better watch out! The Rafters announced today that the L-7 Weenie himself, Squints, will be joined by Tommy ‘Repeat’ Timmons from the famous baseball movie, The Sandlot, for an appearance at Witter Field on Thursday, July 19th, presented by Solarus.

The Sandlot is a 1993 coming-of-age baseball film which tells the story of a group of young baseball players during the summer of 1962. This year marks the 25th Year Anniversary of the release of the classic film. The Rafters will celebrate the anniversary by welcoming Chauncey Leopardi, who played Michael “Squints” Palledorous as well as Shane Obedzinski, who played Tommy “Repeat” Timmons in the movie. Both Leopardi and Obedzinski will be available to meet with fans and sign autographs when the gates open at 6:05 on July 19th. All fans in attendance will receive a photo of both actors to use for autographs, courtesy of Solarus. The evening will also feature a soundtrack from the movie, classic highlights, and s’mores specials at the concessions stand.

Single game tickets for the 2018 season go on sale at 9am on Friday, April 20th. The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters will begin their season on the road against the Madison Mallards on Tuesday, May 29th.
