Wisconsin Rapids hopes for more success at home against the Kenosha Kingfish.  

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. –  The Rafters fell to 14-17 on the season after yesterday’s loss against the Lakeshore Chinooks in extra innings. The Chinooks had a walk-off single in the 11th inning to win 10-9. Steven Rivas (Long Beach State) hit his first triple of the season to tie up the game in the ninth inning.

Tonight, the cranberry and gold face off against Big Top Baseball rival the Kenosha Kingfish. The Kingfish are currently 11-18. Last time these two teams squared up at Witter Field the Rafters swept the Kingfish in the two-game series.

Pitching for Wisconsin Rapids is right hander Brecken Lewis (Dixie State). He sports a 1-1 record an a 4.07 ERA. In seven appearances and three starts, Lewis has recorded eight strikeouts, 11 walks and 23 hits.

Kaleb Schmidt will take the mound for the Kingfish. Schmidt is 0-3 on the season. He has a 5.58 ERA and recorded 18 strikeouts and given up 21 hits.

First pitch is slated for 6:05 p.m. CT at Witter Field.
