Wisconsin Rapids concludes six-game road trip with final game at Battle Creek
Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (29-33, 14-13 2nd half) look to reset after a shutout loss to Battle Creek Bombers (31-32, 15-13 2nd half) and salvage a split in the second game of a two-game series. Last night, the Bombers scored nine runs on eight hits and held the Rafters to just two base hits.
Jake Cook (1-7, 7.15 ERA) gets the start for the Rafters. Cook has struck out 32 batters in 44 innings. Cook faced Battle Creek on July 22nd going the first four frames. The junior allowed one run on three hits with three strikeouts.
Amani Godfrey (3-4, 4.16 ERA) will take the mound for Battle Creek. The sophomore from Saginaw Valley State has allowed 22 runs on 50 hits in 49.2 innings, struck out 46 and walked 22 batters.
First pitch from C.O. Brown Stadium is at 6:05 pm CT/7:05 pm ET.
