Wisconsin Rapids visits Joannes Stadium in the season finale against the Bullfrogs
Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters head to Joannes stadium for the final matchup of 2018. The Rafters will take on the Green Bay Bullfrogs for not only the final time this season but in the final Northwoods League game at Joannes Stadium. The Rafters win last night was the 20th win this season at Witter field, making 2018 the third season in a row with 20 or more wins at home for the Rafters. The Rafters are now 18-17 in the second half and 33-37 overall. The Bullfrog fell to 16-19 in the second half after the loss last night and 38-43 overall.
Taking the mound for the final game of 2018 will be Rafters ace, Trayson Kubo. The Stephen F. Austin junior has had a stellar year for the Rafters. He has a 6-2 record with a 1.48 ERA. In the 53 innings pitched, Kubo has struck out 52 batters, walked 31 and allowed 31 hits. Kubo has the lowest starter ERA for the Rafters as well as the most wins. Kubo also appeared in the Major League Dream Showcase as well as the 2018 All Star Game.
On the mound for Green Bay is McKinley Moore. The Arkansas-Little Rock junior sports an 0-3 with a 9.61 ERA. This is Moore’s fourth start of the season for the Frogs. In 19.2 innings pitched, Moore has struck out 14, issued 41 walks and allowed 14 hits.
