Wisconsin Rapids travels to Fond du Lac for doubleheader
With just five games remaining in the first half of the season, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (18-13) face off against the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (13-18) in a Saturday doubleheader.
Game one will make up a rained-out game from June 12 and will start at 5:05 p.m. Game two will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
The Rafters got behind early against the Wisconsin Woodchucks on Friday, but battled back to pick up a 6-4 win. Starting pitcher Zack Hunsicker earned the win with seven strikeouts in 5.2 innings.
Matt Osterberg is projected to start for the Rafters. He has a 3-1 record and a 2.96 ERA with 23 strikeouts in 27 innings. He will face off against Connor Cook, who is 1-0 with a 2.38 ERA in three starts.
The Rafters return to Witter Field on Sunday, June 30, for a special appearance by the Inflatamaniacs, presented by Aspirus Riverview Hospital and Clinics. The Sunday home matchup with the Dock Spiders begins a five-game homestand for the Rafters
