Rafters return to the road, fresh off their third shutout of the year.

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters pitching staff has been on a tear so far in the 2020 season. Through the first 15 games, the Rafters have the most strikeouts, fewest walks, and lowest ERA in the Wisconsin-Illinois Pod. Tonight, the Rafters look to mirror yesterday’s performance in La Crosse.

Last night, the Rafters took care of business on the defensive end again, shutting out the La Crosse Loggers, 2-0. Rafters pitching struck out ten Loggers and allowed just three hits.

Travis Adams takes the ball to start for the Rafters tonight. Adams has been solid in the rotation for the Rafters in 2020, allowing only one run so far to opponents over 10.1 innings. Adams ranks fourth on the Rafters pitching staff in strikeouts and sixth in ERA at 0.87.

The Loggers throw Travis Weston tonight. The Boise State University redshirt sophomore is making his first start for the Loggers. In four relief innings pitched, Weston has a 2.25 ERA, with no walks and four strikeouts.
