The game was suspended in the top of the third inning

Battle Creek, MI – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (24-28) had runners on the corners, down 3-2 in the top of the third, against the Battle Creek Bombers (17-34) when the umpires called a stoppage to the game for the second time in a ten-minute span. After a 30-minute delay, the game was suspended.

Both teams had three hits scoring two runs in the first inning. Marco Castillo (Claremont McKenna) and Ben Swords (Webster) both delivered RBI singles.

Battle Creek tacked on the go-ahead run on an RBI single in the bottom of the second.

Tomorrow July 25th will see a doubleheader, at C.O. Brown Stadium. Game one will resume at 1:05 p.m. ET and after it concludes, game two will start, 30 minutes after. Game two will be seven innings. Coverage for both games can be heard on WFHR AM 1320.
