Rafters were able to get a victory and split the series vs Lakeshore

Wisconsin Rapids, WI- The Rafters hung on for their first win of the season as they beat the Chinooks by a score of 3-2. They out hit the Chinooks 9 to 6 and the Rafters evened up the series on this Tuesday Night

Brandon Rogers got things started off for the Rafters in the 1st inning with a solo home run on the second pitch of the game. The Rafters followed it up in the second inning as a lead off double came from New Mexico State product, Brant Voth. Voth made his way to 3rd and then shortly after a wild pitch from Chinooks pitcher Jackson Bahn sent Voth home for a Rafters 2-0 lead.

The Rafters were able to get a big RBI from Shane Taylor in the bottom of the 6th that sent Georgia native, Kyle Carlson home to put them up 3-0. Jacob Rosenkranz got the start on the mound and was dishing strikes left and right. The Rafters had exceptional fielding with high IQ plays and no errors that held the Chinooks scoreless through 8 innings, but then the scare came in the 9th. Jhayden Raineri took the mound and gave up a couple hits which put the bases loaded and then Luke Wroblewski had a 2 run RBI which cut the lead to 1 with 2 runners on base. The infield came to rescue with 3rd baseman Jack Basseer fielding a ground ball and getting the out at 1st that lifted the Rafters to a 3-2 victory. The Rafters split the series against the Chinooks and will hit the road for the first away game of the season as they head north to Green bay to take on the Green Bay Rockers. First Pitch is scheduled at 6:35
