Battle Creek, Mich. – In a one-sided affair it was all Fond du Lac as they took the season finale in the series with Battle Creek 14-3.

The Bombers (38-26, 18-11) struggled throwing strikes as they walked 12 batters as a team.  They were also held to just seven hits, as they were unable to string anything together in their final regular season home game.

A great start from lefty Ryan Connolly gave the Dock Spiders (32-33, 16-13) their fifth win over BC.  It was Connolly’s third win of the season and first against the Bombers.

Wyatt Cross (Indiana University) and Nehwon Norkeh (Tennessee Wesleyan University) each had multi-hit games.  Norkeh, Alex Howard (Arkansas State University) and Cody Hawken (University of Portland) each drove in runs.

It was a tough start for Zach Karbowski (Kellogg Community College) who made his first start of the summer.  The right-hander lasted just 2.0 innings and allowed six runs while walking six batters.  His soon to be Kellogg teammate Max Swan also struggled, allowing eight runs on nine hits as he tossed 4.0 innings.

Two non-pitchers also threw out of the bullpen, as Aaron Antonini (Middle Tennessee State University) and Nikola Vasic (McHenry County College) pitched in their first innings this summer.  Each tossed scoreless frames, with Antonini throwing two innings and Vasic one.

Battle Creek finished their regular season at C.O. Brown Stadium with a 20-15 record.  The Bombers will have eight games remaining in the regular season, with all of them taking place on the road over the next week.

The eight game road trip begins tomorrow with a double-header set with the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters.  Game one is scheduled to begin at 6:05 p.m. ET from Witter Field.

Tune in to the pregame show on the Bombers Radio Network with Jake Hromada and Neil Doyle at 5:55 p.m. ET.
