MANKATO-Minn. The Mankato MoonDogs a member of the Northwoods League, is proud to announce the commitment of right-handed pitcher's Tyler Mark and Connor Miller for the 2014 MoonDogs season.

Mark, a six-foot-one-inch, 195 pound sophomore has appeared in ten games for Cal State Dominguez this spring, starting on the mound eight times. He currently has the second most strikeouts on the team with 32.

As a true freshman, Mark emerged as a go-to out of the bullpen, posting a 2-0 record in 15 appearances last year. He allowed just 6 extra base hits in 23.1 innings of work. Mark was also named league MVP as a senior at Culver City High School.

Miller, a five-foot-one-inch, 185-pound sophomore has compiled a 4-2 record with a 3.40 ERA on the mound for Johnson County Community College (Overland Park, Kan.) this spring. He has 3 complete games and 62 strikeouts in just 9 appearances for Cavaliers.

As a freshman, Miller posted a 1.49 ERA, which tied him for best on the team. He worked 42 innings with 35 strikeouts, holding opposing batters to a .229 batting average, and giving up just 25 hits.  He has verbally committed to play for Creighton University next year after he pitches for the MoonDogs this summer.

The MoonDogs home opener is scheduled for Wednesday, May 28 at 7:05 p.m. against the Alexandria Blue Anchors at Franklin Rogers Park. Season tickets are now on sale at the MoonDogs office located at 1221 Caledonia Street.
