Kenosha has the most selections for the July 21 game

Rochester, Minn. — The Northwoods League has announced the rosters for the 2015 Northwoods League All-Star Game presented by Marshfield Clinic, which will be played on Tuesday, July 21 at 7:05 p.m. (CST) at Witter Field in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.

In the North Division, the Duluth Huskies lead the way with five selections. The Huskies are led by Bo Hellquist (Minnesota Duluth) with 5 wins and a 2.86 ERA. Duluth Catcher Dominic Miroglio (San Francisco) brings his .292 average and 20 RBI with him to Witter Field. The First-Half Champion Willmar Stingers have four selections in the North and two of the five outfielders selected in Storm Wilson (Kentucky) and Dan Motl (Minnesota).

In the South Division, the First-Half Champion Kenosha Kingfish have seven players on the roster. Kenosha is led by Eric Filia (UCLA) and his .327 average along with Josh Serio (UW-Parkside) with 6 wins and a miniscule 0.89 ERA. The Madison Mallards have five All-Star selections in the South. Their contingent of All-Stars is highlighted by Anthony Gonsolin (St. Mary’s College) and his 10 homeruns.

Field Manager Duffy Dyer and his coaching staff from the Kenosha Kingfish will be in the dugout for the South. The Kingfish, who won the first half championship in the South Division, currently have a 33-16 record and are 10-3 in the second half.

Willmar Field Manager Drew Saberhagen and his staff will manage the North All-Stars. The Stingers are currently 8-5 in the second half and 31-16 overall.

This year's All-Stars were chosen in a vote by the 18 member teams of the Northwoods League. Ballots were cast by each team's field staff and media contacts.

The Marshfield Clinic All-Star Game festivities will begin on Monday, July 20th with an evening banquet at Hotel Mead & Conference Center honoring the players selected to the North and South Division All-Star teams. The banquet will feature a keynote address by Milwaukee Brewers President of Baseball Operations-General Manager Doug Melvin along with a question and answer session for the Brewers chief executive.
