Thunder Bay, ON – The Thunder Bay Border Cats are pleased to announce the signing of Kade Kryzsko for the 2017 season. 

Kryzsko, a Junior relief pitcher at the University of Indiana, currently has 10 appearances with the Hosiers, holding a 1.84 ERA with 16 strikeouts through 14.2 innings of work. 

Last season at Lower Columbia College the 6’2”, 185 pounder tossed three complete games and posted a 5-1 record to go along with a 1.77 ERA. 

Opening Night for the Border Cats is Saturday, June 3, 2017, with first pitch at 6:05pm. 

The Thunder Bay Border Cats are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. The 23-year-old summer collegiate league is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 20 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 160 former Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including two-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (BOS), Jordan Zimmermann (DET), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Lucas Duda (NYM) and two-time World Series Champion Ben Zobrist (CHC).
