About her experience, Kristi says:

The biggest benefit of having the guys this summer is how much they became a part of my family, and how great it was getting to know them and their families. They got to know my sister, cousins and aunt and uncles. We had a big family dinner on Gavin’s last night, where my whole family was over along with Jake & Wes to send Gavin off the next day. We also had a big family brunch on the last morning of the season – Jake's parents came, Eric’s mom, girlfriend and friend along with my whole family was there (18 of us in all). It was a great family atmosphere, and just a great time for us all to spend together.

And . . .

Jake’s mom said something to me on his last day that I think sums up why I want to be a host family. She said that as a parent it meant the world to her to know that her son was cared for and safe this summer. She knew that he was in good hands and didn’t have to worry about him. To know that I made a positive impact on him and his family is the reason I’m going to host again.”
