burm_returnsMadison, Wis. – The Madison Mallards have announced that Trevor Burmeister will be returning to the coaching staff for his second season as assistant coach.  In 2015, Burmeister’s first year on the Mallards coaching staff, he was the team’s lead hitting instructor, outfield instructor, and camp organizer.

“It doesn't get much better than being a Mallard,” said Burmeister. “Growing up in Verona I followed the Mallards closely, and to now be able to be a part of the tradition is an honor.”

Burmeister is most excited about getting another opportunity to coach under Donnie Scott.  “Donnie has been around the game a long time,” Burmeister said.  “Just talking baseball with him and hearing his stories is an absolute joy.  He is all about playing the game the right way, competitive and striving to win.”
