WILLMAR, Minn. — Thanks to support from the community, the New London-Spicer Baseball Association, and the City of Spicer, the Stingers final home games of the regular season will still be played this weekend despite heavy rains, as the two-game series against the Madison Mallards on Saturday and Sunday will take place at the Green Lake Baseball Diamond in Spicer, Minnesota.

The 50s Night on Saturday featuring a pregame classic car show presented by Country Stop and A&W and the Fan Appreciation Night on Sunday with postgame fireworks courtesy of Fischer Laser Eye Center will both go on as scheduled. The only change is the location of the games in Spicer at Green Lake Baseball Diamond instead of Bill Taunton Stadium.

On Saturday night, the classic cars will be on display in front of the Green Lake Baseball Diamond with live music prior to the game courtesy of Country Stop and A&W.

For Fan Appreciation Night on Sunday, there will be a 3D glasses giveaway and postgame fireworks courtesy of Fischer Laser Eye Center and media partners Q102, KWLM, Big Country and the Train.

Tickets from Thursday's postponed game can be exchanged for any of the remaining home games.

The Stingers start the final homestand with a doubleheader on Friday night against the Waterloo Bucks at the Green Lake Baseball Diamond. First pitch for the first game of the doubleheader is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. Friday night is Back to School Backpack Giveaway Night presented by ACMC. The backpacks will be handed out beginning at 6:05 p.m. to the first 250 kids.
