LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Stingers completed the their second series sweep in a row, now extending to a four-game win streak after their 7-1 win at Copeland Park.

They won all four at Copeland Park this season, this time led by starting pitcher Tyler Oldenberg (Seattle) and left fielder Caleb Ledbetter (Montevallo).

Oldenberg got his first win of the season, pitching six innings and giving up only one run. He struck out seven and only gave up only five hits.

Luke Becker (Kentucky) then catalyzed the scoring for Willmar with a solo home run in ghe fourth inning.

The next inning, Ledbetter scored to tack on another run of run support for Oldenberg.

Oldenberg exited the game in the seventh inning, making way for Braxton Johns (Georgia Southern) and Corey Binger (UN-Omaha), who both kept the Loggers scoreless for the remainder of the game.

Ledbetter reached all four times he stepped up to the plate, finishing 3-for-3 with a walk and two runs.

Three runs in the seventh and two more in the eighth for the Stingers gave them their 7-1 lead.

The Stingers move to 11-5 on the second half and 29-23 overall. 

They have now won 14 of their last 20 games, and 11 of those victories were credited to their starter. 

Tomorrow they host the Rochester Honkers for the first of a two-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at Bill Taunton Stadium and Luke Chevalier (Northern State) is expected to start.
