EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Willmar Stingers were unable to take either game of the doubleheader at Carson Park Wednesday. Their 3-0 loss in game two brings them to 13-7 in the second half, a mark that places them tied at the top of the North with the Express.

They were held to only two hits as Eau Claire's Luke Eldred pitched a complete game shutout.

Luke Becker (Kentucky) and Tyler Murray (Hawai'i) both had hits. Since Becker moved to the top of the order on July 24, he has gotten on base in 9 of 20 plate appearances.

On the mound, the Stingers were led by Stone Kelly (Georgia Gwinnett) who pitched two strong innings, striking out one and giving up only one hit.

Cameron Churchill (Nova Southeastern) started the game for Willmar, giving up three runs in five innings before making way for Kelly.
