The Mallards took game one of an important interleague series against Willmar, making a statement in a 8-2 win, Mallards' right fielder Anthony Gonsolin turned in another spectacular night, receiving Player of the Night for the second time of the year.

Gonsolin continues to prove that he is one of the most feared hitters in the Northwoods League, as he supplied three hits, four RBIs, and scored three times, while hitting two bombs. The senior from St. Mary's has been sensational with a .336 batting average, with 9 home runs and 28 RBIs and 11 stolen bases. In his last three games, Gonsolin has recorded three home runs, five RBIs, and scored seven times. 

Gonsolin and the Mallards will look for the series sweep of the Stingers, as they face off at 7:05 PM.
