The Battle Creek Battle Jacks respond to being shut out yesterday with a monster win, beating the Rockford Rivets 11-1 tonight. The Battle Jacks’ received a stand-out performance by their starting pitcher, Noah Sample, (Walsh University) who earned the win throwing a solid five innings facing sixteen batters striking out eight allowing one hit, zero walks, and zero runs. Sample earned the Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night award.
