Friday’s Northwoods League slate featured 12 games. The Madison Mallards ran up the score in tonight’s matchup hitting four home runs, beating the Wisconsin Rapids 15-2. The Lakeshore Chinooks walk it off in the tenth defeating the Royal Oak Leprechauns 10-9.

Kalamazoo 3, Battle Creek 1

The Kalamazoo Growlers sweep the Battle Creek Battle Jacks defeating them in tonight’s matchup 3-1. Brodey Acres (Walsh University) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Brock Leitgeb (University of Michigan) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double. Kevin Krill (Kalamazoo Valley Community College) went 1-for-2 with a double. Liam O’Brien (Gonzaga University) earned the win throwing 6.1 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts allowing three walks and two hits.

Madison 15, Wisconsin Rapids 2

The Madison Mallards ran up the score on the Wisconsin Rapids beating them 15-2. Korbyn Dickerson (University of Louisville) had a day at the plate going 3-for-5 with a three-run home run, a solo home run, an RBI single, and two stolen bases. Alex Harrell (Arkansas State – Mountain Home) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a triple and a solo home run. Shai Robinson (Illinois State University) went 2-for-3 with a double and a two-run home run. Liam Stumpf (Madison College) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings with two strikeouts allowing zero walks and zero hits.

Rochester 5, Thunder Bay 2

The Rochester Honkers take down the Thunder Bay Border Cats 5-2 in tonight’s matchup. Augusto Mungarrieta Lorenzo (Rochester Community and Technical College) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with two doubles, two RBI, and one stolen base. Dom Rodriguez (San Joaquin Delta College) was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 with one RBI. Max Ortega (California State University Fullerton) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Duncan Mathews (University of South Alabama) was perfect at the plate going 2-for-2 with a solo home run. Cooper Marshall (McMurray University) earned the win throwing six innings with five strikeouts allowing four walks, three hits, and one run.

Kenosha 2, Traverse City 1

The Kenosha Kingfish pull through with the win beating the Traverse City Pit Spitters 2-1. Will Plattner (University of Alabama) went 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Nick Giamarusti (Ohio State University) went 1-for-2 scoring once with one stolen base. Michael Tchavdarov (Davenport University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a triple. Hudson Calhoun (University of Mississippi) earned the win throwing five scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing four walks and three hits.

Mankato 4, Bismarck 0

The Mankato MoonDogs shut out the Bismarck Larks 4-0 tonight. Gabriel Miranda (Texas Christian University) went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Brody Delamielleure (Florida State University) went 2-for-3 scoring once with one double. Zach Crandall (University of Utah) went 1-for-2 scoring once with one double. Jake Swartz (University of Illinois) earned the win throwing six scoreless innings with six strikeouts allowing zero walks and zero runs. 

Wausau 9, Duluth 2

The Wausau Woodchucks had a monster ninth inning scoring five runs to help beat the Duluth Huskies 9-2. Daniel Harden (McClennan Community) went 2-for-4 scoring once with two RBI. Max Soliz Jr. (Auburn) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Jake Berkland (Minnesota State University Mankato) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with one stolen base. Jonah St. Antoine (University of Pittsburgh) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a double and one RBI. Chris Scinta (University of Miami) earned the win throwing 4.2 scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing three hits and one walk.

Waterloo 11, Eau Claire 6

The Waterloo Bucks get on the board first scoring three in the second and take down the Eau Claire Express 11-6. Larry Edwards (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) went 3-for-4 scoring three times with a double, a three-run home run, and one stolen base. Evan Morrison (McPherson College) went 4-for-5 scoring twice with one RBI and two stolen bases. Brady Blake (University of Kansas) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a three-run home run. Gabe Richardson (University of Minnesota-Duluth) went 1-for-3 with a two-run double. Wyatt Land (University of Georgia) earned the win throwing 5.1 innings with seven strikeouts allowing five runs, two walks, and two hits.

Badlands 5, Willmar 2

The Badlands Big Sticks defeated the Willmar Stingers 5-2 in tonight’s matchup. Troy Berg (Iowa Central Community College) went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one stolen base. Kaden Carpenter (University of Utah) went 1-for-5 with a solo home run. Colton Griffin (Stephen. F. Austin State University) went 1-for-3 with one RBI and one stolen base. Garret Lundmark (Spokane Falls CC) earned the win throwing six innings with five strikeouts allowing three walks, three hits, and two runs.

Rockford 8, Kokomo 6

The Rockford Rivets beat the Kokomo Jackrabbits 8-6 in tonight’s tight matchup. Maddox Mihalakis (University of Arizona) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with a pair of doubles, one RBI, and one stolen base. Tommy Townsend (Butler University) went 1-for-2 scoring once with one RBI. J.J. Dutton (Indian Hills Community College) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a double, two RBI, and one stolen base. Zach Longshore (University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA)) earned the win throwing five innings with two strikeouts allowing four hits, three earned runs, and two walks.

Ryan Mckay (Michigan State University) went 1-for-5 scoring once with a double collecting three RBI and one stolen base. Evan Bottone (University of Akron) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a double and two RBI. Mitch Mueller (Utah Valley University) earned the win throwing two innings with three strikeouts allowing four hits, three runs, and one walk.

Green Bay 16, Fond du Lac 11

The Green Bay Rockers take down the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 16-11 in tonight’s matchup. Taylor Shultz (Georgia State University) went 3-for-6 scoring twice with a double, a triple, and three RBI. Payton Mansfield (Jacksonville State University) went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run. Cooper Kelly (Oral Roberts University) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with two RBI. Parker Knoll (Lawrence University) went 3-for-6 with a double and three RBI. Preston Knott (Northwestern University) was perfect at the plate going 4-for-4 scoring four times with two RBI. Connor Nolen (Carroll University) earned the win throwing 2.1 innings with three strikeouts allowing four hits, three walks, and two earned runs.

Minot 12, La Crosse 11

The Minot Hot Tots pulled through with the win beating the La Crosse Loggers 12-11. Wyatt Reginato (Colorado State University – Pueblo) was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 scoring twice with a solo home run collecting four RBI. Caden Parker (Bowling Green State University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with two RBI. Jonah Shields (California State University Bakersfield) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with one RBI and two stolen bases. Zach Wadas (Texas Christian University) went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run. Gable Mitchell (University of Iowa) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with two RBI and one stolen base. Kaden Arn (Bowling Green State University) earned the win throwing 1.2 innings with one strikeout allowing three hits, zero earned runs, and zero walks.
