Sunday’s Northwoods League slate featured 13 games. The Wausau Woodchucks score four in the sixth inning to take down the Thunder Bay Border Cats 9-3, earning their seventh win in a row. Madison is right behind them with six in a row.

Kalamazoo 5, Traverse City 0

The Kalamazoo Growlers shut out the Traverse City Pit Spitters 5-0. Jeremy Comer (University of Tennessee) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Brock Leitgeb (University of Michigan) went 4-for-5 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Xavier Delgado (Barry University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Eamon Horwedel (University of Michigan) earned the win throwing six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts allowing four walks and one hit.

Wausau 9, Thunder Bay 3

The Wausau Woodchucks score four in the sixth inning to take down the Thunder Bay Border Cats 9-3. Kam Durnin (Wichita State University) went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run. Brayden Smith (Iowa Western Community College) went 2-for-5 scoring once with four RBI. Isaac Webb (Texas AandM University-Corpus Christi) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with two RBI and two stolen bases. Edwin Alicea (Nova Southeastern University) earned the win throwing five innings with five strikeouts allowing four hits, one walk, and one earned run.

Battle Creek 10, Kokomo 7

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks jumped on the Kokomo Jackrabbits early and came out with a 10-7 win. Aidan Arbogast (Eastern Michigan University) went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run. Sam Decarlo (University of Washington) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Mason Hamlin (University of Texas of the Permian Basin) was perfect at the plate going 4-for-4 scoring three times with one RBI. J.J. Dutton (Indian Hills Community College) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a double and two RBI. Tyler Sager (Northwood Univeristy) earned his third win throwing six innings with four strikeouts allowing five hits, one walk, and one earned run.

Madison 16, Fond du Lac 4

The Madison Mallards ran up the score against the Fond du Lac Docks Spiders beating them 16-4. Blake Guerin (University of Iowa) had a day at the plate going 4-for-6 scoring four times with a double and two home runs, and collecting six RBI. Shai Robinson (Illinois State University) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a solo home run and recording three RBI. Jake Munroe (John A. Logan Community College) was perfect going 4-for-4 scoring three times with a double and two RBI. Liam Moreno (St. Cloud State University) went 1-for-5 with a solo home run. Drew Deremer (University of Iowa) earned the win throwing five scoreless innings with two strikeouts allowing five hits and zero walks.

Wisconsin Rapids 15, Lakeshore 8

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters have a monster sixth inning scoring fourteen runs to take down the Lakeshore Chinooks 15-8. Max Mcgwire (University of San Diego) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a double and collecting four RBI. Owen Mcelfatrick (Northwestern University) went 3-for-6 scoring twice with a double and three RBI. Jorge De Goti (Nova Southeastern University) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with three RBI. Mason Schwalbach (Kansas State) went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Prince Deboskie (Scottsdale Community College) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a double and a triple, collecting two RBI. Noah Rodriguez (Siena College) earned the win throwing two innings with one strikeout allowing four hits, one run, and zero walks.

Royal Oak 8, Green Bay 5

The Royal Oak Leprechauns score first in the third to help defeat the Green Bay Rockers 8-5. Colin Overholt (Ashland University) went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI. Parker Picot (University of Alabama) went 3-for-5 scoring once with two RBI and two stolen bases. Ryan Mckay (Michigan State University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with two RBI. Gabe Jones (Ball State University) earned the win throwing five innings with six strikeouts allowing five walks, three hits, and two runs.

Willmar 15, Bismarck 12

The Willmar Stingers score seven in the eighth inning to help take down the Bismarck Larks 15-12. Aidan Byrne (Minnesota State University Mankato) went 1-for-4 scoring twice with three RBI and one stolen base. Colin Hynek (Georgia State University) went 2-for-6 with a double and a triple collecting two RBI. Andrew Sojka (California State University Northridge) went 1-for-4 scoring once with three RBI. Cj Richmond (Western Michigan University) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a three-run home run. Tye Wood (University of New Mexico) was perfect at the plate going 2-for-2 scoring once with three RBI. Tate Robertson (University of Alabama) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings with two strikeouts allowing two walks and one hit.

Rockford 10, Kenosha 6

The Rockford Rivets beat the Kenosha Kingfish 10-6 in tonight’s matchup. Tommy Townsend (Butler University) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a two-run home run and a RBI single. Lucas Spence (Southern Illinois University Edwardsville) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Maddox Mihalakis (University of Arizona) went 2-for-4 scoring once with two RBI and one stolen base. Christopher Schuchart (Davidson College) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a pair of doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Eric Lin (University of South Alabama) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings with six strikeouts allowing one hit and zero walks. 

Duluth 7, Eau Claire 4

The Duluth Huskies came out early and took down the Eau Claire Express 7-4. Mj Sweeney (Grossmont College) went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and an RBI single. Brady Sullivan (Texas A&M University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a triple and one RBI. Cardell Thibodeaux (Undecided) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a triple and one RBI. Charlie Dohemann (Skyline College) earned the win throwing six scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing two hits and zero walks.

St. Cloud 11, Mankato 4

The St. Cloud Rox beat the Mankato MoonDogs 11-4 in tonight’s matchup. Jake Perry ( University of Minnesota) had a day at the plate going 2-for-4 scoring three times hitting out two home runs collecting three RBI. Ben Higdon (University of Kentucky) went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles recording three RBI. Tyler Bishop (University Nebraska Omaha) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a double and triple collecting two RBI and one stolen base. Ryan Ward (University of San Diego) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles. Brigden Parker (University of Kansas) earned the win throwing four scoreless innings with five strikeouts allowing three hits and zero walks.

Waterloo 6, Rochester 2

The Waterloo Bucks scored four in the seventh to help take down the Rochester Honkers 6-2. Larry Edwards (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) went 1-for-2 with a double collecting two RBI. Evan Morrison (McPherson College) went 2-for-4 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Augusto Mungarrieta Lorenzo (Rochester Community and Technical College) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Ethan Alexander (McPherson College) earned the win throwing 1.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts allowing one hit and zero walks.

Eau Claire 6, Duluth 5

The Eau Claire Express pulled through with the 6-5 win over the Duluth Huskies. Emilio Barreras (Grand Canyon University) was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 scoring once with a three-run home run and an RBI single. Colton Wemhoff (University of Kansas) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Mj Sweeney (Grossmont College) went 1-for-4 with his second home run of the day collecting two RBI. Jace Kirby (Western Kentucky) earned the win throwing five innings with five strikeouts allowing four hits, two walks, and two runs.

Badlands 13, Minot 9

The Badlands Big Sticks collect twelve hits to help take down the Minot Hot Tots 13-9. Brant Kragel (Pima Community College) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a double and three-run home run. Kaden Carpenter (University of Utah) went 4-for-5 scoring three times with a triple and a solo home run. Tyler Tobey (Metro State University of Denver) went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run. Zach Selfon (Northwestern University) went 1-for-5 scoring twice with a bases-clearing triple. Jack Matousek (Florida Institute of Technology) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a solo home run. Jonah Shields (California State University Bakersfield) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run. Sam Nitzke (Angelina College) earned the win throwing 5.2 innings with one strikeout allowing four walks, four hits, and two runs.
