Monday’s Northwoods League slate featured 13 games. The Rockford Rivets walk it off taking down the Kenosha Kingfish 6-5, extending their record to 20 wins. Wausau Woodchucks leading the league in wins with 22.

Bismarck 9, Badlands 4

The Bismarck Larks score five in the sixth to help take down the Badlands Big Sticks 9-4. Alex Alva (University of Jamestown) went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run. Kyle Hvidsten (Iowa Western Community College) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a double and recording three RBI. Michael Davinni (University of Utah) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run. Corey Braun (University of Mississippi) earned the win throwing six innings with eight strikeouts allowing six hits, three runs, and two walks.

Battle Creek 19, Kalamazoo 11

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks defeat the Kalamazoo Growlers 19-11 in tonight’s hit show. Cayden Wotipka (Lower Columbia) went 3-for-4 scoring four times with a two-run home run and an RBI double. Sam Griffith (Oakland University) went 3-for-5 scoring three times with a double and recording two RBI. Jacob Brown (College of Charleston) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Jeremy Comer (University of Tennessee) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a double and three RBI. Xavier Delgado (Barry University) went 1-for-2 scoring once with a triple and two RBI. Shane Tucker (Long Island University – Brooklyn) earned the win throwing one inning allowing two hits, two runs, and one walk.

Wausau 12, Green Bay 5

The Wausau Woodchucks used a seven-run fifth inning to beat the Green Bay Rockers 12-5. Trey Gambill (University of Oklahoma) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with a three-run home run and one stolen base. Max Galvin (Oklahoma State University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a double, two RBI, and one stolen base. Isaac Webb (Texas AandM University-Corpus Christi) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a double and two stolen bases. Sam Miller (Columbia University) went 1-for-5 with a solo home run. Edwin Alicea (Nova Southeastern University) earned the win throwing five innings with three strikeouts allowing five hits, three walks, and two earned runs.

Royal Oak 3, Traverse City 2

The Royal Oak Leprechauns score two runs in the eighth to defeat the Traverse City Pit Spitter 3-2. Riley Frost (University of North Georgia) goes 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit triple scoring two runs. Saborn Campbell (Stanford University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a pair of doubles. Aaron Piasecki (Kellogg Community College) went 1-for-2 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Jt Guerrero (Fresno State University) earned the win throwing one inning allowing three hits, two runs, and zero walks.

Madison 4, Kokomo 2

The Madison Mallards score two in extras to secure the 4-2 victory over the Kokomo Jackrabbits. Frankie Carney (University of California Irvine) went 2-for-4 scoring once with one RBI. Charlie Marion (Madison College) went 1-for-4 scoring twice. Lukas Farris (University of Georgia) went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Davis Welch (Harding University) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing two hits and zero walks.

Fond du Lac 11, Lakeshore 6

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders score six in the sixth to help take down the Lakeshore Chinooks 11-6. Drew Barragan (Embry Riddle Aeronautical) went 3-for-5 scoring three runs with a two-run single and a solo home run. Adam Cootway (University of Wisconsin – Whitewater) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with a three-run home run. Brady Counsell (University of Kansas) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a three-run home run and a double. Gene Trujillo (University of New Mexico) went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Ethan Cole (Augustana University) earned the win throwing five innings with seven strikeouts allowing three hits, two runs, and zero walks.

St. Cloud 5, Mankato 2

The St. Cloud Rox defeated the Mankato MoonDogs 5-2 in tonight’s matchup. Will Henson ( Ohio State University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a three-run home run. Jackson Hauge (University of Kansas) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Carter Hanson (University of Massachusetts) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double. Phil Brennaman (University of Louisiana at Lafayette) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing two hits and two walks.

Waterloo 8, Wisconsin Rapids 7

The Waterloo Bucks beat the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 8-7 in tonight’s tight matchup. Chase Beattie (Saint Louis University) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Ben Wilmes (University of Iowa) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a pair of doubles, one RBI, and one stolen base. Larry Edwards (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) went 3-for-5 scoring once with one RBI. Max Mcgwire (University of San Diego) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a solo home run. Jack Scrofano (Santa Ana College) earned the win throwing .2 innings with one strikeout allowing seven hits, three runs, and zero walks.

Rochester 5, Minot 2

The Rochester Honkers score four in the fourth to beat the Minot Hot Tots 5-2. Reiss Calvin (University of California Santa Barbara) went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI, and one stolen base. Paul Schoenfeld (Colorado Mesa University) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with two RBI. Mateo Serna (University of Missouri) went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Adam Berghult (Dallas Baptist University) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a double. Aaron McCurley (Fresno City College) earned the win throwing 3.2 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts facing only twelve batters allowing one hit and one walk. 

Willmar 16, Eau Claire 7

The Willmar Stingers score eight runs in the seventh to clobber the Eau Claire Express 16-7. Andrew Sojka (California State University Northridge) had a day at the plate going 4-for-6 scoring three times with a solo home run, an RBI single, and a two-run double. Aidan Byrne (Minnesota State University Mankato) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a pair of doubles and three RBI. Maximus Martin (University of Arkansas) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a double and three RBI. Brigs Richartz (University of St. Thomas) went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run. Reggie Bussey (Oakland University) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with two RBI and one stolen base. Sebastian Granados (Grossmont College) earned the win throwing three innings with four strikeouts allowing three walks, two hits, and one run.

La Crosse 8, Thunder Bay 3

The La Crosse Loggers collect fifteen hits to help take down the Thunder Bay Border Cats 8-3. Derrick Mitchell (Louisiana State University) went 3-for-5 scoring three runs with a solo home run, a double, and a stolen base. Case Sanderson (University of Nebraska) went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI, and one stolen base. Elijah Ickes (University of Hawaii) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a double, one RBI, and two stolen bases. Michael Debattista (Dodge City Community College) earned the win throwing six innings with seven strikeouts allowing five hits, four walks, and three runs.

Bismarck 15, Badlands 6

The Bismarck Larks ran up the score on the Badlands Big Sticks beating them 15-6. Zach Daudet (California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly)) had a day at the plate going 2-for-5 scoring twice with a pair of triples and recording four RBI. Jaron Cotton (Barton Community College) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Brady Krzciok (Macomb Community College) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a solo home run. Troy Berg (Iowa Central Community College) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Kobe Andrade (Baylor University) earned the win throwing three innings with three strikeouts allowing six hits, five runs, and one walk.

Rockford 6, Kenosha 5

The Rockford Rivets walk it off taking down the Kenosha Kingfish 6-5. Cade Zalewski (Eastern Illinois University) went 1-for-4 with three RBI. Bobby Atkinson (Coastal Carolina University) went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Karter Wong (California State University Northridge) went 2-for-5 with a double, one stolen base, and two RBI. Nick Giamarusti (Ohio State University) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a double, a triple, RBI, and a stolen base. Eric Lin (University of South Alabama) earned the win throwing 1.2 scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing one walk and zero hits.
