Saturday’s Northwoods League slate featured 14 games, and 3 walk-off wins. The Rockford Rivets ran up the score in tonight’s 20-10 victory over the Kalamazoo Growlers, becoming the Great Lakes East First Half Champions. The Madison Mallards take down the Lakeshore Chinooks in a 5-4 extra-inning matchup, Madison’s win streak is extended to seven.

Wisconsin Rapids 11, Fond du Lac 7

The Wisconsin Rapids scored six in the second to help beat the Fond du Lac 11-7. Owen Mcelfatrick (Northwestern University) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a solo home run to start the game and a stolen base. Landon Gaz (University of California Irvine) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a solo home run. Walker Buchanan (University of Virginia) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a triple and two RBI. Aidan Jolley (Georgia Tech) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Adam Cootway (University of Wisconsin – Whitewater) went 2-for-3 scoring once with two RBI and one stolen base. Matthew Heard (University of North Georgia) earned the win throwing 2.2 scoreless innings allowing only one hit.

Thunder Bay 13, Rochester 4

The Thunder Bay Border Cats score eight runs in the fourth to take down Rochester Honkers 13-4. Brody Chrisman (Purdue University (IN)) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a pair of doubles and three RBI. Lucas Terilli (Eastern New Mexico University) went 1-for-4 scoring three times with a two-run home run and one stolen base. Mattie Thomas (University of San Francisco) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run. Shane Kearbey (University of Missouri-St. Louis) earned the win throwing four innings with four strikeouts allowing four hits, two runs, and two walks.

Royal Oak 4, Green Bay 3

The Royal Oak Leprechauns walk it off to beat the Green Bay Rockers 4-3. Jack Bolke (Adrian College) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Oliver Service (University of Texas at Austin) went 2-for-5 with one RBI. Mulivai Levu (UCLA) went 1-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Tj Mcallister Jr. (Wayne State University) earned the win throwing one scoreless inning with one strikeout allowing zero hits.

Duluth 4, Wausau 1

The Duluth Huskies get the road win taking down the Wausau Woodchucks 4-1. Charlie Sutherland (University of Minnesota) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a solo home run. Ethan Gonzalez (Blinn Junior College) went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Isaac Webb (Texas AandM University-Corpus Christi) went 1-for-4 with one RBI and one stolen base. Brayden Curtis (University Nebraska Omaha) earned the win throwing eight innings with five strikeouts allowing six hits, four walks, and one run.

Kokomo 3, Kenosha 2

The Kokomo Jackrabbits pull through with the win beating the Kenosha Kingfish 3-2. J.J. Dutton (Indian Hills Community College) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one RBI. Jake Lambdin (Xavier University) went 1-for-4 with one RBI. Vincent Temesvary (Gonzaga University) went 3-for-4 with a double. Christopher Schuchart (Davidson College) went 3-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Payton Graham (Gonzaga University) earned the win throwing eight solid innings with twelve strikeouts allowing three walks, three hits, and one run.

Traverse City 5, Battle Creek 4

The Traverse City Pit Spitters walk it off taking down the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 5-4. Aaron Piasecki (Kellogg Community College) went 3-for-4 with a walk-off solo home run. Brett Rozman (Central Arizona College) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a triple and two RBI. Cayden Wotipka (Lower Columbia) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with a double and a solo home run. Aidan Arbogast (Eastern Michigan University) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Santiago Garcia (Central Arizona College) earned the win throwing one scoreless inning with two strikeouts allowing zero hits or walks.

Badlands 8, Minot 3

The Badlands Big Sticks score four in the second to help defeat the Minot Hot Tots 8-3. Marcus Romero (South Mountain Community College) went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run. Evan Appelwick (Miami University Ohio) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Adam Haber (Wofford College) went 3-for-4 scoring once with two stolen bases. Tristan Moore (University of Houston) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Sam Nitzke (Angelina College) earned the win throwing 5.2 innings with five strikeouts allowing five hits, two runs, and zero walks.

Mankato 4, Bismarck 1

The Mankato MoonDogs beat the Bismarck Larks 4-1 in tonight’s matchup. Carter Vrabel (Tennessee Tech University) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Matthew Fleischhacker (Minnesota State University Mankato) went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Riley Jackson (Florida State University) went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Cj Richmond (Western Michigan University) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Ben Fiedler (Chipola College) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing one walk and zero hits.

La Crosse 7, Eau Claire 3

The La Crosse Loggers take down the Eau Claire Express 7-3. Case Sanderson (University of Nebraska) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with a two-run home run and one stolen base. Zach Wadas (Texas Christian University) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a double, one stolen base, and one RBI. Davis Rivers (Texas Tech University) went 1-for-3 scoring once with two RBI. Reece Beuter (University of Iowa) earned the win throwing 4.2 innings with six strikeouts allowing four hits, one earned run, and zero walks.

St. Cloud 8, Minnesota 4

The St. Cloud Rox scored four in the eighth to help take the lead and beat the Minnesota Mud Puppies 8-4. Will Henson (Ohio State University) went 2-for-4 with a double, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Carter Hanson (University of Massachusetts) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Jaylen Ziegler (Des Moines Area Community College) was perfect at the plate going 2-for-2 scoring once with one stolen base. Brock Larsen (University of Minnesota-Crookston) went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run. Ayden Decker-Petty (Indiana University) earned the win throwing two perfect innings with six strikeouts facing six batters.

Waterloo 16, Willmar 2

The Waterloo Bucks have a monster ninth inning scoring nine runs to take down the Willmar Stingers 16-2. Larry Edwards (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) went 4-for-6 scoring twice with a double and three RBI. Ian Halverson (Palomar College) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with two RBI and two stolen bases. Chase Beattie (Saint Louis University) went 4-for-5 scoring twice with a double, two RBI, and one stolen base. Luke Finn (University of Texas-Dallas) went 1-for-5 scoring twice with one RBI and two stolen bases. Aidan Elfering (University of Dubuque) earned the win throwing six innings with five strikeouts allowing five hits, one earned run, and one walk.

Fond du Lac 6, Wisconsin Rapids 5

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders walk it off defeating the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 6-5. Preston Knott (Northwestern University) went 1-for-2 with a solo home run. Parker Knoll (Lawrence University) went 2-for-5 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Kyler Mcintosh (Alabama State University) went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Greyson Shafer (Brigham Young University) went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Jacob Arndt ( University of Missouri-St. Louis) earned the win throwing 2.1 scoreless innings with one strikeout allowing one walk and zero hits.

Rockford 20, Kalamazoo 10

The Rockford Rivets ran up the score in tonight’s 20-10 victory over the Kalamazoo Growlers. Maddox Mihalakis (University of Arizona) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a three-run home run and a two-run double, ending the day with six RBI. Brayden Bakes (Indiana University) went 4-for-5 scoring five times with a three-run home run, collecting two more RBI and one stolen base. Lucas Spence (Southern Illinois University Edwardsville) went 3-for-6 scoring twice with a two-run double and a two-run single. Xavier Delgado (Barry University) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a triple and three RBI. Kevin Krill (Eastern Michigan) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with two RBI. Nick Semon (Post University) earned the win throwing 3.1 innings with four strikeouts allowing three hits, two runs, and one walk.

Madison 5, Lakeshore 4
