Saturdays’s Northwoods League slate featured 13 games. The Royal Oak Leprechauns walk it off in the twelfth taking down the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 7-3. The Thunder Bay Border Cats walk it off in the ninth taking down the La Crosse Loggers 8-7. The Rochester Honkers walk it off taking down the Rockford Rivets 4-3.

Royal Oak 7, Battle Creek 3

The Royal Oak Leprechauns walk it off in the twelfth taking down the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 7-3. Parker Picot (University of Alabama) went 2-for-6 scoring twice with a walk-off Grand Slam. Michael Lareau (Belmont University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Ben Fierenzi (Long Island University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a triple and one RBI. Joe Turner (Henry Ford Community College) earned the win throwing five innings with four strikeouts allowing two walks, two hits, and zero earned runs.

Thunder Bay 8, La Crosse 7

The Thunder Bay Border Cats walk it off in the ninth taking down the La Crosse Loggers 8-7. Sam Stern (Gonzaga University (WA)) went 2-for-5 scoring once with two RBI and one stolen base. Cole Ketzner (University of South Alabama) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Brody Chrisman (Purdue University (IN)) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with two stolen bases. Matthew Miura (University of Hawaii) went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one stolen base. Case Sanderson (University of Nebraska) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Mason Lemons (Arkansas State University-Mountain Home) earned the win throwing two innings with two strikeouts allowing three hits and two runs.

Lakeshore 7, Madison 2

The Lakeshore Chinooks defeat the Madison Mallards 7-2 in tonight’s matchup. Brady Counsell (University of Kansas) went 1-for-5 and collected three RBI. Dominic Kibler (Kent State University) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a solo home run. Agustin Gutierrez (University of California Irvine) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Ryan Karst (Madison College) earned the win throwing seven innings with three strikeouts allowing seven hits, four walks, and two runs.

Fond du Lac 4, Wausau 1

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders collect eleven hits to take down the Wausau Woodchucks 4-1. Travis Strickler (Embry-Riddle Aeronautical) went 1-for-3 scoring once with two RBI and one stolen base. Drew Proseck (Gulf Coast State College) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a double. Caden Shapiro (Princeton University) went 3-for-5 scoring once with one stolen base. Drew Howard (University of Evansville) went 1-for-3 scoring once with two stolen bases. Justin Doyle (Northwestern University) earned the win throwing seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts allowing four hits and zero walks. 

Mankato 6, St. Cloud 2

The Mankato MoonDogs came out hot in the first scoring four runs to help defeat the St. Cloud Rox 6-2. Nico Libed (University of San Diego) went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one stolen base. Coleman Mizell (University of Alabama) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Ben Higdon (University of Southern Mississippi) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with a solo home run. Jackson Beaman (University of Iowa) went 1-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Zac Sohosky (Rhodes College) earned the win throwing four innings with two strikeouts allowing six hits, two walks, and one run.

Traverse City 5, Kokomo 4

The Traverse City Pit Spitters break it open in the ninth scoring four runs to beat the Kokomo Jackrabbits 5-4. Ethan Belk (Wofford College) went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Brett Denby (Georgia Tech) went 2-for-4 scoring once with one RBI. Jack Moroknek (Butler University) went 2-for-4 with one RBI. James Oman (University of North Florida) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a double. Dominic Mauro (Northwood University) earned the win throwing three innings allowing two walks, two hits, and one run.

Rochester 4, Rockford 3

The Rochester Honkers walk it off taking down the Rockford Rivets 4-3. Andrew Cain (University of Arizona) went 1-for-4 with a walk-off two-run home run. Reiss Calvin (Univeristy of California Santa Barbara) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Maddox Mihalakis (University of Arizona) went 1-for-4 with a triple and one RBI. Nick Barone (West Virginia University) went 1-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Alex Miller (Florence-Darlington Technical College) earned the win throwing four scoreless innings with five strikeouts allowing two hits and zero walks.

Eau Claire 18, Minnesota 9

The Eau Claire Express ran up the score against the Minnesota Mud Puppies 18-9. Jake Busson (Iowa Central Community College) went 1-for-5 scoring twice with a grand slam. Brady Reynolds (Stanford University) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a double, one stolen base, and three RBI. Evan Gustafson (Oregon State University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a double and three RBI. Brigs Richartz (University of St. Thomas) went 2-for-6 scoring twice with a pair of doubles. Brock Larsen (University of Minnesota-Crookston) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a solo home run and one stolen base. Will Smoot (Eastern Tennessee State University) went 1-for-5 scoring once with a triple and one RBI. Gavyn Bowen (State College of Florida Manatee – Sarasota) earned the win throwing one inning allowing three walks and one run.

Wisconsin Rapids 10, Green Bay 6

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters score five in the fourth to take down the Green Bay Rockers 10-6. Max Mcgwire (University of San Diego) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a grand slam and an RBI single. Greyson Shafer (Brigham Young University) went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Mateo Matthews (Wagner College) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a two-run home run. Jake Bold (Princeton University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Brandon Scott (Hillsdale College) earned the win throwing three innings with one strikeout allowing three walks, two hits, and one run.

Kenosha 11, Kalamazoo 5

The Kenosha Kingfish used five home runs to help defeat the Kalamazoo Growlers 11-5. Nate Mieszkowski (Missouri Southern State University) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a two-run home run. Brandon Nigh (Oakland University) went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run. Christopher Schuchart (Davidson College) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run. Duluth 12, Waterloo 1

The Duluth Huskies dominate the Waterloo Bucks beating them 12-1. Max Coupe (Gonzaga University) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a double and four RBI. Badlands 9, Willmar 2

The Badlands Big Sticks score four runs in the eighth to secure the victory over the Willmar Stingers 9-2. Nathan Martinez (College of San Mateo) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with three RBI and one stolen base. Evan Appelwick (Miami University Ohio) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with a solo home run and a stolen base. Nico Senese (Georgia Southern) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Tyler Conklin (Eastern Illinois University) earned the win throwing 5.1 innings with two strikeouts allowing six hits, five walks, and two runs.

Minot 14, Bismarck 13

The Minot Hot Tots scored three runs in the ninth to help take down the Bismarck Larks 14-13. Evan Dempsey (Florida Gulf Coast University) went 3-for-6 scoring once with a three-run triple and a two-run double. Abe Affholter (Winthrop University) went 3-for-6 scoring twice with a double and three RBI. Noah Leib (Denison University) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a pair of doubles and four RBI. Michael Davinni (University of Utah) went 3-for-4 scoring three times with one RBI and three stolen bases.
