Monday’s Northwoods League slate featured game one of a three-game series between the Mankato Habaneros and the Madison Night Mares.

Mankato 8, Madison 4

The Mankato Habaneros score five in the third to take down the Madison Night Mares 8-4. Indigo Fish (University of Wisconsin-Superior) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a two-run double and collecting a third RBI in the fourth and a stolen base. Serena Timmer (University of Minnesota-Duluth) went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one stolen base. Emma Lee (Trine University) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with two RBI. Tia Durst (Lake Land) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a three-run home run and a double. Lexie Shaver (Salt Lake Community College) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a double, one stolen base, and one RBI. Jayme Scheck (Drake University) earned the win throwing seven innings with five strikeouts allowing seven hits, six walks, and four runs.
