Saturday’s Northwoods League slate featured 13 games. The Great Lakes West #2 Madison Mallards walk it off scoring two in the ninth defeating the Great Lakes East #7 Kokomo Jackrabbits 5-4.

Green Bay 8, Fond du Lac 0

The Green Bay Rockers shut out the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 8-0. Mulivai Levu (UCLA) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a three-run home run. Nick Harms (Case Western Reserve University) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBI. Sam Miller (Columbia University) went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Mateo Matthews (Wagner College) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a double. Treshon Paschal (Southern Arkansas University) earned the win throwing 3.1 scoreless innings with one strikeout allowing three walks.

Duluth 13, Eau Claire 6

The Duluth Huskies score five runs in the fourth to help secure the 13-6 victory over the Eau Claire Express. Reagan Reeder (University of Illinois) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a two-run home run, and a two-run double, collecting five RBI and one stolen base. Jayden Duplantier (University of Texas at Austin) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with two RBI and two stolen bases. Jake Downing (California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly)) went 1-for-4 scoring twice with one RBI and two stolen bases. Evan Gustafson (North Dakota State University) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a grand slam. Rowan Barnes (University of California Davis) earned the win throwing 2.1 innings with two strikeouts allowing one run, one hit, and zero walks.

Kalamazoo 2, Battle Creek 0

The Kalamazoo Growlers shut out the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 2-0. Jeremy Comer (University of Tennessee) went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Xavier Delgado (Barry University) went 2-for-3 scoring once. G Smith (Montana State University Billings) went 1-for-3 with a double. Tanner Ware (Oakland University) earned the win throwing seven scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing three walks and one hit.

St. Cloud 6, Minot 4

The St. Cloud Rox scored five runs in the fifth to take down the Minot Hot Tots 6-4. Jackson Hauge (University of Kansas) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Ben Higdon (University of Southern Mississippi) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a triple and two RBI. Jaixen Frost (University of Iowa) went 3-for-3 scoring once with one RBI and three stolen bases. Nick Alonso (Arkansas State University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with one RBI and two stolen bases. Phil Brennaman (University of Louisiana at Lafayette) earned the win throwing five innings with five strikeouts allowing seven hits, two runs, and zero walks.

Wausau 5, Lakeshore 4

The Wausau Woodchucks take down the Lakeshore Chinooks 5-4. Edian Espinal (Chipola College) was perfect at the place going 3-for-3 scoring twice with a solo home run and one stolen base. Max Soliz Jr. (Auburn) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a solo home run. Brady Counsell (University of Kansas) went 1-for-2 with a double and one RBI. Garrett Brogdon (Simpson University) earned the win throwing 4.1 innings with seven strikeouts allowing three hits and one run. 

Madison 5, Kokomo 4

Carter Daniels (North Carolina AandT) earned the win throwing one scoreless inning with one strikeout allowing zero walks or hits.

Wisconsin Rapids 6, La Crosse 3

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters beat the La Crosse Loggers 6-3 in tonight’s matchup. Aidan Teel (University of Virginia) went 1-for-3 scoring once with two RBI and one stolen base. Jorge De Goti (Nova Southeastern University) went 1-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Luke Anderson (BYU) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Bryson Moore (University of Virginia) earned the win throwing four innings with two strikeouts allowing three hits, two walks, and one earned run.

Kenosha 18, Royal Oak 6

The Kenosha Kingfish ran up the score on the Royal Oak Leprechauns 18-6. Will Plattner (University of Alabama) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a grand slam and collecting six RBI. Tyler Bickers (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) went 1-for-4 scoring twice with a three-run home run and one stolen base. Michael Whooley (Villanova University) went 4-for-5 scoring twice with a solo home run and a double. Christopher Schuchart (Davidson College) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with four RBI. Gavin Taylor (Brigham Young University) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a double and one RBI. Brayden Dowd (University of Southern California) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a triple, one RBI, and three stolen bases. Chris Rooney (Concordia University of Wisconsin) earned the win throwing 2.1 innings with three strikeouts allowing two hits, one walk, and zero earned runs.

Waterloo 12, Minnesota 8

The Waterloo Bucks score four runs to defeat the Minnesota Mud Puppies 12-8. Luke Finn (East Texas Baptist University) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with a triple, one stolen base, and four RBI. Thunder Bay 12, Rochester 5

The Thunder Bay Border Cats scored five runs in the ninth to extend the lead over the Rochester Honkers beating them 12-5. Jackson Cooke (University of Tennessee at Martin) went 1-for-2 with a grand slam. Cole Ketzner (University of South Alabama) went 1-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Trey Fikes (Three Rivers College (MO)) went 1-for-4 scoring once with two RBI. Grant Macarthur (San Joaquin Delta College) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a three-run home run. Reiss Calvin (Univeristy of California Santa Barbara) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a solo home run. Gode Gebbink (Missouri University of Science and Technology) earned the win throwing 2.1 innings with three strikeouts allowing four hits, one run, and zero walks.

Rockford 13, Traverse City 9

The Rockford Rivets collect eighteen hits in their 13-9 victory over the Traverse City Pit Spitters. Bobby Atkinson (Bradley University) went 3-for-5 scoring once with four RBI. Mike Koszewski (University of Kansas) went 2-for-4 scoring once with three RBI. Nick Barone (West Virginia University) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a double and one RBI. J.R. Mankato 22, Badlands 9

The Mankato MoonDogs dominate the Badlands Big Sticks 22-9 in tonight’s matchup. Ty Rumsey (University of Evansville) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a two-run home run, collecting six RBI. Brody Delamielleure (Florida State University) went 4-for-7 scoring three times with a grand slam and a double, ending the day collecting five RBI and one stolen base.
