Sunday’s Northwoods League slate featured two solo matchups; #2 Madison Night Mares and #3 La Crosse Steam, #1 Mankato Habaneros and #4 Minot Honeybees

Madison 7, La Crosse 2

The Madison Night Mares collected eleven hits in their 7-2 victory over the La Crosse Steam. Hilary Blomberg (University of Wisconsin-Madison) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a two-run double and a solo home run. Tia Durst (Lake Land) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a pair of doubles and one stolen base. Mia Johnson (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a pair of doubles. Andrea Jaskowiak (University of Iowa) earned the win throwing six innings with five strikeouts allowing four walks, two runs, and two hits. 

Mankato 7, Minot 4

The Mankato Habaneros score three runs in the sixth to take the lead and take down the Minot Honeybees 7-4. Amity White (University of South Alabama) went 3-for-3 scoring three times with a two-run home run and two stolen bases. Indigo Fish (Winona State University) went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Shayna Myshrall (Niagara University) went 2-for-2 scoring once with two RBI. Abbie Stigler (Saint Mary”s University) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a double. Jenna Sprague (Washburn University) earned the win throwing seven innings with three strikeouts allowing seven hits, two earned runs, and zero walks.
