Wednesday’s Northwoods League slate featured 11 games. The Great Lakes East #1 Traverse City Pit Spitters collected eleven hits in their 9-2 victory over the Great Lakes East #7 Kokomo Jackrabbits.

Battle Creek 7, Royal Oak 5

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks scored four runs in the fourth to help defeat the Royal Oak Leprechauns 7-5. Garrett Smith (Montana State University Billings) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a three-run home run. Cody Hultink (Davenport University) went 1-for-5 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Lucas Rick (Western Michigan University) went 1-for-5 with two RBI. Michael Lareau (Belmont University) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a triple and one RBI. Josaiah Estrella (Eastern New Mexico University) earned the win throwing 6.1 innings with four strikeouts allowing eleven hits, four runs, and zero walks.

Traverse City 9, Kokomo 2

The Traverse City Pit Spitters collected eleven hits in their 9-2 victory over the Kokomo Jackrabbits. Ethan Belk (Wofford College) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a triple, one stolen base, and three RBI. Michael Tchavadarov (Davenport University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Carter Hain (Oakland University) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Reilly Shafer (Clarion University of Pennslyvania) earned the win throwing six innings with six strikeouts allowing four hits, three walks, and one run.

Madison 10, Kenosha 8

The Madison Mallards come in clutch scoring three runs in the ninth to take the lead and down the Kenosha Kingfish 10-8. Frankie Carney (University of California Irvine) collected two RBI and two stolen bases. Cal Fisher (Florida State University) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a double and one RBI. Dawson Hokuf (University of Cincinnati) went 1-for-3 with three RBI. Korbyn Dickerson (University of Louisville) went 1-for-3 scoring once with three stolen bases. Sebastian Mueller (Quinnipiac University) went 1-for-4 with a grand slam. Eamonn Mulhern (Madison College) earned the win throwing one scoreless inning with one strikeout allowing one hit.

La Crosse 22, Eau Claire 7

The La Crosse Loggers came out hot with a monster inning scoring nine runs in the first to dominate the Eau Claire Express 22-7. Tyler Smith (St. Peter”s University) went 2-for-6 scoring once with a three-run home run and collecting five RBI. Rj Hamilton (Vanderbilt University) went 3-for-4 scoring three times with a triple and four RBI. Ian Collier (Texas State University) went 3-for-4 scoring four times with a three-run home run. Matthew Miura (University of Hawaii) went 4-for-4 scoring four times with a double and three RBI. Case Sanderson (University of Nebraska) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a double and three RBI. Brigs Richartz (University of St. Thomas) went 3-for-4 scoring once with three RBI. Jah Acevedo (Elgin Community College) earned the win throwing 2.1 scoreless innings with one strikeout allowing two hits and two walks.

Duluth 11, Thunder Bay 3

The Duluth Huskies used a six-run fifth inning to help run up the score in the Thunder Bay Border Cats 11-3. Jake Downing (California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly)) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with a pair of doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Charlie Sutherland (University of Minnesota) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a two-run home run. Josh Duarte (Georgetown College) went 2-for-4 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Zach Kuseke (University of Minnesota-Duluth) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with two strikeouts allowing two hits and one walk.

Green Bay 10, Lakeshore 2

The Green Bay Rockers collected thirteen hits in their 10-2 victory over the Lakeshore Chinooks. Daalen Adderley (Loyola Marymount University) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a triple, one RBI, and one stolen base. Mateo Matthews (Wagner College) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Logan Gregorio (Northern Illinois University) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a triple and one RBI. Dillion Orr (Grand Canyon University) earned the win throwing five innings with three strikeouts allowing five hits, two walks, and one earned runs.

Kalamazoo 7, Fond du Lac 4

The Kalamazoo Growlers scored four runs in the seventh to help defeat the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 7-4. Colin Blanchard (University of Washington) went 1-for-5 with a double and one RBI. Ryar Rinehart (Kalamazoo College) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with a double. Tyler Neises (Georgia Tech) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Tanner Ware (Oakland University) earned the win throwing six innings with four strikeouts allowing seven hits, four runs, and two walks.

Minot 11, Mankato 4

The Minot Hot Tots scored six runs in the fourth to help run up the score on the Mankato MoonDogs 11-4. Adam Berghult (Dallas Baptist University) went 1-for-3 scoring three times with a double, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Adrian Dominguez (University of New Orleans) went 3-for-3 scoring twice with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Brant Baughcum (Mercer University) went 1-for-3 scoring once with three RBI and one stolen base. Zach Stroh (Minnesota State University Mankato) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a three-run home run. Jacob Mallozzi (Mid-American Christian University) earned the win throwing four innings allowing five hits, four runs, and three walks.

Wausau 17, Wisconsin Rapids 3

The Wausau Woodchucks had a monster third inning scoring eight runs to help dominate the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 17-3. Vance Sheahan (University of South Carolina Upstate) went 4-for-6 scoring once with a double and four RBI. Colin Bruggemann (Oklahoma State University) went 3-for-6 scoring three times with a two-run home run. Max Soliz Jr. (Auburn) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with a two-run home run. Christian Smith-Johnson (Texas AM University-Corpus Christi) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Aidan Teel (University of Virginia) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Travis Lutz (Bradley University) earned the win throwing five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts allowing two walks and one hit.

Bismarck 7, Rochester 5

The Bismarck Larks scored four runs in the sixth to take the lead and down the Rochester Honkers 7-5. Ethan Thomas (University of Utah) went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Sam Gates (George Washington University) went 1-for-4 scoring once with one RBI. Dom Rodriguez (San Joaquin Delta College) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a pair of doubles and three RBI. Paul Schoenfeld (Colorado Mesa University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Nick Julian (North Central University) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with six strikeouts and allowing one walk having only faced ten batters. 

Badlands 8, St. Cloud 5

The Badlands Big Sticks came out hot scoring four runs in the first to help beat the St. Cloud Rox 8-5. Cole Tabor (Texas State University) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a solo home run, collecting two RBI and one stolen base. Evan Appelwick (Miami University Ohio) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a two-run home run. Luke Shannahan (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double, collecting three RBI and one stolen base. Noah Greise (University Nebraska Omaha) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a two-run home run. Ben Higdon (University of Southern Mississippi) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a solo home run. Carter Hanson (University of Massachusetts) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a solo home run. Tyler Conklin (Eastern Illinois University) earned the win throwing 5.1 innings with five strikeouts allowing eleven hits, five runs, and zero walks.
