Saturday’s Northwoods League slate featured 11 games. The Great Lakes East #3 Rockford Rivets walk it off in extras taking down the Great Lakes West #6 Lakeshore Chinooks 6-5.

Green Bay 8, Wisconsin Rapids 6

The Green Bay Rockers used a monster sixth inning scoring eight runs to defeat the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 8-6. Blade Carver (Northern Oklahoma College) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a solo home run and a two-run double. Makani Tanaka (Oral Roberts University) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run. Jake Bold (Princeton University) went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Aidan Teel (University of Virginia) went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run. Ben Loyd (Northern Illinois University) went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Colton Sylvester (Bellhaven University) earned the win throwing 4.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts allowing two walks.

Kalamazoo 13, Battle Creek 1

The Kalamazoo Growlers dominated the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 13-1 in tonight’s matchup. Brodey Acres (Walsh University) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with a solo home run and an RBI double. Antonio Perotta (University of Virginia) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Colin Blanchard (University of Washington) went 1-for-4 scoring once with two RBI. Eamon Horwedel (University of Michigan) earned the win throwing seven innings with three strikeouts allowing four hits, one run, and one walk.

Royal Oak 8, Kokomo 4

The Royal Oak Leprechauns collected thirteen hits in their 8-4 victory over the Kokomo Jackrabbits. Trae Cassidy (Ohio University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Michael Lareau (Belmont University) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Ethan Rossi (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) went 3-for-4 with a triple and one RBI. Nolan Coil (Calvin College) earned the win throwing 6.2 innings with six strikeouts allowing five hits, three walks, and two runs.

Madison 6, Wausau 3

The Madison Mallards defeated the Wausau Woodchucks 6-3 in tonight’s matchup. Korbyn Dickerson (University of Louisville) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a two-run home run. Isaac Kim (Univeristy of California Santa Barbara) went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Dawson Hokuf (University of Cincinnati) went 2-for-4 scoring once with one RBI. Javier Lobo (Harding University) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing one hit and one walk.

Willmar 5, Mankato 4

The Willmar Stinger came in clutch scoring twice in the ninth to to take down the Mankato MoonDogs 5-4. Landen Lozier (Michigan State University) went 4-for-5 scoring once with one RBI and two stolen bases. Max Buettenback (University of Nebraska) went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Jordan Kuhnau (South Dakota State University) went 1-for-1 scoring once with one RBI. Jake Mcghee (University Evansville) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Cooper Neville (Grand Canyon University) went 1-for-4 with a triple and one RBI. Ben Irsfeld (Minnesota State University Mankato) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing two walks and one hit. 

Traverse City 8, Kenosha 7

The Traverse City Pit Spitters come in clutch scoring five runs in the ninth to beat the Kenosha Kingfish 8-7. Michael Tchavdarov (Davenport University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double, one stolen base, and two RBI. Ethan Belk (Wofford College) went 1-for-5 scoring twice with a triple and one stolen base. Zach Justice (University of Oregon) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a pair of doubles and two RBI. Tyler Bickers (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) went 3-for-5 scoring once with three RBI. Jaxon Huffman (Michigan State University) earned the win throwing a .1 scoreless inning allowing zero hits or walks.

Rockford 6, Lakeshore 5

The Rockford Rivets walk it off in extras taking down the Lakeshore Chinooks 6-5. Bobby Atkinson (Bradley University) went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Wyatt Morgan (Missouri Southern State University) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Tj Williams (Heartland Community College) went 1-for-4 scoring twice with one RBI and one stolen base. Ethan Hindle (University of Kentucky) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Aaron Sanchez (University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) earned the win throwing four innings innings with three strikeouts allowing two hits, zero earned runs, and zero walks.

Bismarck 17, Minot 1

The Bismarck Larks dominate the Minot Hot Tots 17-1 in tonight’s matchup. Ethan Thomas (University of Utah) went 3-for-5 scoring three times with a solo home run and a double, collecting four RBI. Delshaun Lanier (University of California San Diego (UCSD)) went 4-for-5 scoring three times with a triple and four RBI. Christian Knight (Wagner College) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a two-run home run. Sydney Ward (Univeristy of New Mexico) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a double and two RBI. Kai Taylor (Augustana University) earned the win throwing six innings with four strikeouts allowing five hits, one run, and one walk.

Fond du Lac 7, La Crosse 4

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders came out hot scoring four runs in the first to help defeat the La Crosse Loggers 7-4. Drew Barragan (Embry Riddle Aeronautical) went 2-for-4 scoring once with two RBI. Tyler Neises (Georgia Tech) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Miles Vandenheuvel (Eastern Arizona College) went 1-for-4 scoring once with one RBI and two stolen bases. Case Sanderson (University of Nebraska) went 1-for-5 with two RBI. Brandon Brust (Lawrence University) earned the win throwing five scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing three hits and two walks.

Eau Claire 8, Thunder Bay 4

The Eau Claire Express scored four in the eighth to extend the lead and take down the Thunder Bay Border Cats 8-4. Dylan O’Connell (Western Kentucky) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a two-run home run. George Bilecki (Lewis University) went 2-for-3 scoring once with two RBI and one stolen base. Tom Otto (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a solo home run. Jackson Cooke (University of Pittsburgh) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Daniel Rosado (Lewis University) earned the win throwing one scoreless inning allowing zero hits or walks.

Duluth 14, Waterloo 2

The Duluth Huskies dominate the Waterloo Bucks 14-2 in tonight’s matchup. Ethan Cole (University of Minnesota-Duluth) went 3-for-6 scoring twice with a double and one RBI. Jayden Duplantier (University of Texas at Austin) went 3-for-6 scoring twice with two RBI. Charlie Sutherland (University of Minnesota) went 1-for-5 with three RBI. Joe Vos (University of St. Thomas) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with one RBI and one stolen base. Christian Smith (High Point University) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run.
