Tuesday’s Northwoods League slate featured 17 games. The St. Cloud Rox shut out the Mankato MoonDogs 5-0 in the first matchup and then came out hot in the second game scoring five runs in the first to secure the doubleheader sweep beating the MoonDogs 5-1.

Rochester 9, Duluth 4

The Rochester Honkers collected eleven hits in their 9-4 victory over the Duluth Huskies. Dean Carpentier (University of Southern California) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run. Dom Rodriguez (San Joaquin Delta College) went 1-for-5 with a solo home run. Petey Craska (Georgia Tech) went 1-for-2 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Paul Schoenfeld (Colorado Mesa University) went 1-for-4 scoring once with two RBI and one stolen base. Josh Duarte (Georgetown College) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run. Nolan Barry (Illinois State University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a pair of doubles. Joe Sperry (USC Lancaster) earned the win throwing five innings with two strikeouts allowing four hits, three runs, and three walks.

Willmar 12, Bismarck 7

The Willmar Stingers scored five runs in the fourth to defeat the Bismarck Larks 12-7. Max Buettenback (University of Nebraska) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with three RBI and one stolen base. Jordan Kuhnau (South Dakota State University) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a triple, two RBI, and one stolen base. Brayden Hellum (Kirkwood Community College) went 2-for-2 scoring twice with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Ethan Thomas (University of Utah) went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run. Duluth 10, Rochester 3

The Duluth Huskies ran up the score 10-3 on the Rochester Honkers. Charlie Sutherland (University of Minnesota) went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run. Wausau 6, Kenosha 1

The Wausau Woodchucks came out hot scoring three runs in the first to help beat the Kenosha Kingfish 6-1. Max Galvin (Oklahoma State University) went 1-for-2 scoring three times with a two-run home run. Max Soliz Jr. (Auburn) went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Noah Lazuka (UC San Diego) went 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI. The Rockford Rivets come in clutch scoring five runs in the eighth to beat the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 6-5. Eau Claire 12, Thunder Bay 6

The Eau Claire Express ran up the score on the Thunder Bay Border Cats 12-6. Dylan O’Connell (Western Kentucky) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a two-run home run, a double, and one stolen base. Kokomo 13, Royal Oak 7

The Kokomo Jackrabbits scored five runs in the third to help defeat the Royal Oak Leprechauns 13-7. Ethan Rossi (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a two-run home run, collecting five RBI and one stolen base.
