Tuesday’s Northwoods League slate featured a solo matchup between #2 Madison Night Mares and #3 La Crosse Steam.

The La Crosse Steam shut out and upset the Madison Night Mares 2-0. Valerie Osthoff (Carroll University) went 1-for-2 with a two-run double. Ashlee Chantos (Winona State University) went 1-for-3 scoring once. Mia Johnson (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) went 1-for-3 with a double. Hilary Blomberg (University of Wisconsin-Madison) went 1-for-1. Chloe Wamboldt (Rock Valley College) went 1-for-3. Mackenzie Willis (Belmont University) earned the win throwing four scoreless innings with seven strikeouts allowing two hits and two walks.
