Tuesday’s Northwoods League slate featured 3 if necessary games. Tonight Madison, St. Cloud, and Kalamazoo have been crowned champions of their subdivisions and will move on to the semi-finals tomorrow.

Madison 8, Wausau 3

The Madison Mallards collected fifteen hits in their 8-3 victory over the Wausau Woodchucks becoming the Great Lakes West Champions. Dawson Hokuf (University of Cincinnati) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a solo home run and collecting two RBI. Shai Robinson (Illinois State University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a solo home run. Charlie Marion (Madison College) went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI. Davis Hamilton (North Dakota State University) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a stolen base. Korbyn Dickerson (University of Louisville) went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI. Drew Berkland (University of Minnesota) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Bryce Leedle (University of St. Thomas) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings with two strikeouts allowing one hit and one walk.

St. Cloud 6, Willmar 0

The St. Cloud Rox shut out the Willmar Stingers 6-0 becoming the Great Plains West Champions. Ben Higdon (University of Southern Mississippi) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Jackson Hauge (University of Kansas) went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBI. RJ Stinson (William Carey University) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a double and one RBI. Hunter Day (Missouri State University) earned the win throwing eight scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing seven hits and four walks.

Kalamazoo 8, Rockford 2

The Kalamazoo Growlers collected eleven hits in their 8-2 victory over the Rockford Rivets becoming the Great Lakes East Champions. Brandon Sanchez (Webber International University) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a double and three RBI. Trey Wells (University of Virginia) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Brodey Acres (Walsh University) went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Tommy Townsend (Butler University) went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Tanner Ware (Oakland University) earned the win throwing six innings with four strikeouts allowing five hits, two walks, and zero earned runs.
